Activities

The main attraction at Oakwood Hamlet is the rare opportunity to see wild pheasants in their natural habitat. You can go out in the early hours of the morning, as the improbably calm forest under the gently rising sun, to search for playful pheasants. Adventure sports on offer include Rappelling, catwalk, hiking, simulated river crossing and overnight camping.

For those who wish to explore the land around them, a visit can be made to the summer capital of Shimla or Chail. These vibrant towns provide an interesting mix of historical buildings from its eventful colonial past apart from modern day shopping options.

Rapelling

Rappelling is an adventure activity in which on has to move down a steep cliff, rock, etc., by pushing feet against its surface and sliding down a rope. It is a wonderful physical activity and done under the expert supervision with safety wears like halmet, knee pads etc.

Hiking

Hiking is a term given to a long and vigorous walk over the hillpaths, cityside or villageside trails. The trails in hiking includes bushes, forests and rock-paths, river banks etc. Hiking develops a pleasure by sight seeing, viewing landscapes and natural beauty.

Valley Crossing

This is an exciting activity in which a river or valley is crossed over through the rope-sliding or rope-bridge.

Burma Bridge

The Burma rope bridge is the classic rope walking activity for the thrill seekers. It involves  a thick rope on the base to walk upon, and then two ropes on the sides to hold on to as this bridge stretches across an area. We organize this group activity at the resort with the safety equipment and experienced guides.

Bamboo Bridge

Bamboo bridge is a walking activity over the bridge made of bamboo. It involves a bamboo bridge with two ropes on side to hold on while walking. We organize this group activity at the camp with the safety equipment and experienced guides.

Commando Net

Commando Nets have been used for decades as a training aid as far as climbing and crossing open spaces are concerned by the military. They are also used in a variety of playgrounds, parks, resorts, hotels, schools as well as for adventure campsite. They can be a great form of exercise, building balance and coordination without any help even realizing it. They are used for endurance, as well as strength training exercises.
